This is a an image of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II opening the WKC in Glasgow in 2003. It was her 3rd event that day but as with everything in her life she added grace and dignity and took time not just to be there but to express a genuine interest in the event and Kendo as a martial art. She spent time talking to delegations and competitors alike.
In an age of cynicism dedication to service is rare. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II dedicated her life to the service of our country and along with Prince Philip served in WW2 and selflessly provided an example to our country, the common wealth of nations and beyond.
