Sunday 25th June – 10:00 – 13:00 Setsuko Kobayashi Cup and Seminar
This annual ladies kendo seminar is open to women of all levels, minimum age 14, preferably in full armour. The seminar covers ‘Kobayashi method’ as usual, a special method designed for women kenshi, and ‘Sakuragi method’ as new method introduced this year. The Friday evening session will be a joint session with Kodokan members and the women’s only seminar starts on Saturday. Kobayashi Cup is an individual taikai as part of the seminar. You will need shinai, bokuto (long and short, if you have one) as well as all kendo equipment.
