Dear members,
Hopefully you will be seeing a slight warming of the air as spring apparently approaches.
I am delighted to invite you to this year’s Iaido Nationals containing both individual and team event. In order to make this worthwhile for those travelling from further regions, we have added an extra day on Sunday 31st for an Intensive Training event. This will be led by our National and Regional Squad Trainers who have spent the last few months enthusiastically delivering IT sessions in various parts of the country. The day won’t be as intense as the usual sessions are as there will be some time for a brief presentation on performance in taikai by our squad trainers.
As usual, it has been challenging to find a venue for the whole weekend but we have thankfully reserved the sports hall at Didcot Girls School (https://www.didcotgirls.oxon.sch.uk/247/contact-us-1#). Accommodation options nearby are few and far between but the flyer contains some recommendations of really nice places within a 10-minute drive. For those of you using public transport, should you need lifts to hotels then I would ask you to take part in any online discussions on the Facebook page (https://fb.me/e/4g0OsGq8c).
All of the bookings should be made on the online booking system (instructions in the attached flyer).
