We are saddened to hear of the passing of Sumi Masatake-sensei.
Sumi-sensei was instrumental to the progress of kendo worldwide. He closely supported the UK for many years at taikai and leading seminars, as well as teaching those fortunate to train with him in Japan.
A true warrior and Budoka, he will be greatly missed, but his great spirit will live on in the kendo he passed on to others. Deepest condolences to those affected by Sensei’s loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones at this time.
