Dear BKA members

I am delighted to announce the first IT session scheduled in for 2026. This is happening quite soon (Sunday 18th January) so if you are located in the south of England area please get this in your diaries, it is sure to be an extremely worthwhile event to attend with a lot of training under the keen eye of two of our Regional Squad Trainers, please see attached information. The event is available online for booking but limited to 40 people.

[Update 29 December]:
I’m pleased to announce that we have another IT session venue and date confirmed, please see attached flyer.

On this occasion the event will be held in the village of West Wickham at Kenyukan Dojo (Saturday 31st January) and we are reaching out to those members based in that area and north London to attend this event. Unfortunately the venue is not particularly accessible by public transport but the National Squad Trainer and leader of this session, Martin Clark, has offered to organise lifts from Cambridge main rail station to the venue by his dojo members. If you are planning to travel by train then please contact Martin directly at the address in the flyer in plenty of time for him to organise cars. In order to arrive on time, you will need to be at Cambridge main station by 08:30 at the latest.

As usual with all our IT sessions going forwards, the day’s training agenda is fairly tight so please ensure you bring a packed lunch and drinks.

Martin will be assisted by Mark Snowdon, Iaido 5th dan.

I’m sure this will be an amazing opportunity to do some extremely intense training and improve your level through excellent, guided coaching.

To keep you updated with other IT activity:

  • We are just waiting for venue booking confirmation for the Edinburgh IT session on the 17th January for those members in Scotland and the north.
  • February’s IT sessions are now being planned, the venue for the centre of the country is hoped to move from East England to the West Midlands.

Best regards,
Andy
