Our dear fierce friend Trevor Chapman has passed away.  His caustic wit and laser like search for honest and deep kendo were unique.  His relentless determination to progress along “The right path” could perhaps be rivalled but not surpassed.  He had the heart to thank even those who had dismissed his own efforts causing them by his grace to reconsider their actions (If they could see the irony)?

These words from Robert Burns I think goes some way to summing up Trevor’s admirable qualities:

An honest man here lies at rest,
The friend of man, the friend of truth,
The friend of age, and guide of youth:
Few hearts like his, with virtue warm’d,
Few heads with knowledge so inform’d;
If there’s another world, he lives in bliss;
If there is none, he made the best of this.
