Aberdeen University Kendo Club is proud to host this year’s annual Scottish University Taikai. This is a competition open to all Kendoka who are in a Scottish University or are alumni of a Scottish University.
There are 6 categories in this year’s taikai:
Beginners Individuals
Beginners Teams (3 fighters)
Open Individuals
Open Teams (5 fighters)
Women’s Individuals
Alumni
You are eligible for Beginners if you:
1) Are studying at a Scottish University
2) Have been doing Kendo for less than 1 year
You are eligible for Open if you:
1) Are currently studying at a Scottish University
2) Are not a beginner
You are eligible for Alumni if you:
1) Have graduated from a Scottish University
2) Are not currently studying a post-graduate degree or anything else
All competitions are open to all genders! (except Women’s Individuals, but that’s easy to work out from the name)
