PRACTICE & SEMINAR:
Oxford Kendo is honoured to be hosting respected and esteemed Hiroshi Ozawa Sensei in Oxford for a three day practice and seminar. Ozawa Sensei is the author of the quintessential “Kendo: The Definitive Guide” and has spent a lifetime developing teaching methods and promoting kendo globally.
There will be a Friday bogu only practice followed by a two day seminar on Saturday and Sunday. Yasuyuki Hiyama sensei along with other sensei from the UK and traveling with Ozawa sensei will also join the practice and seminar.
We require both days attendance for the seminar as this will avoid disruptions and for you to get the maximum benefit from Ozawa sensei’s instructions and teaching. Space is limited with advanced booking and early bird registration recommended.

Time: 1900 – 2200
Practice: Advanced bogu only practice all ages (min. 1 month in bogu).
SATURDAY & SUNDAY SEMINAR:
7-8 July, 2018 Saturday & Sunday
Venue: Oxford University Sports Centre, Iffley Rd, Oxford, OX4 1EQ
Time: 0930 – 1700
Practice: General practice all ages & levels.
***If you are relatively new to kendo, please refresh or read about correct kendo and dojo etiquette before arriving: http://oxford-kendo.info/kendo-guidebooks-booklets/ We expect all adults and older junior attendees to be able to dress themselves and put on bogu by themselves with senior members providing advisement as needed
***Please ensure you label all your equipment such as shinais, etc. for your own benefit in case it goes missing
LUNCH & DINNERS:
Please bring your own lunches. There are also local shops/restaurants within walking distance of venue. Friday night will be going to a local pub near the venue after the practice. We will be making group reservations for dinner for both days of the seminar. There will be a deposit required for dinner per person as this is required when we make large group bookings at restaurants.
