The event will begin with the Individuals taikai pool and knockout stages, from Mudan to Godan.
Following this, the team taikai with 2 players per team (Max 7 dans per team, with Mudan/Ikkyu counting as 1 dan).
The event will finish with the Asahi 3-player taikai (Max 5 dans per team, first 6 seiteigata only)
Each dojo may put forward as many teams as they wish.
